FBLA gets down to business
Members of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) are preparing to compete at the Regional Conference at Susquehanna University on Dec. 20, said Advisor Ms. Emery-Seibert, adding that they have already chosen events to compete in.
Ms. Emery-Seibert said the club is currently selling whoopie pies along with apple dumplings for the Put a Child to Bed organization.
FBLA will host a Donkey Basketball Game on Mar. 17, said Ms. Emery-Seibert. Profits will go into the FBLA fund, she added.
According to Ms. Emery-Seibert, Put a Child to Bed is an organization where clubs or groups raise funds to buy beds for children in need in our community. Each bed costs $200, and FBLA will be funding for one bed she said. The funds will come from fundraisers throughout the year added Ms. Emery-Seibert. She said that FBLA and a few other clubs in Milton High School are working together to fund the beds.
