Sleighs dash through Milton

The Milton Winterfest Committee set up a sleigh race at Bound Avenue for the length of a block on Dec. 7. The rule of the race was the sleigh could not have an engine or motor, added Computer Education Teacher Mr. Seth Reitz.

He added that he enjoyed watching spectators laugh when there was something that didn’t go right. Around 30 people watched the sleigh race, said Mr. Reitz.

Four teams participated in the sleigh race, he added. “I was shooting for eight teams to participate in the sleigh competition, but I asked everyone that was there, and the spectators said they should do it next year,” added Mr. Reitz.

According to Mr. Reitz, each team got five prizes.

“It was just something to do and have fun with,” he added. The winners got a plastic sleigh trophy with four gift cards, said Mr. Reitz.

The winner of the race was Mr. Dick’s Calculus class, followed up by Senior Bradley Murphy’s team, according to Mr. Reitz.
