FFA farms plants for Milton Steel
Science teacher Mr. David Bittner and his FFA club members attended the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg on Jan. 6. The club went to see all the different types of competitions, such as landscaping and public speaking. Mr. Bittner said that they also saw presentations, horticulture exhibits and show animals.
“Students went and saw all the competitors from across the state just to see all the different things that they can do there,” said Mr. Bittner. He added that the club is not eligible to compete yet just because they have only been a club for one year.
If you are interested in joining FFA, the only requirement is being in one of the agricultural classes.
