Project Title: Beyond the Border

Teacher Comment: “Lillyann did a great job on this assignment. Her composition (layout) of her imagery was creative and aesthetically pleasing. She did a great job capturing the personality of the dog in her piece. She also displayed a great deal of craftsmanship in her pen and ink. I would encourage Lillyann to continue to work on using multiple mediums in one piece of work. Her watercolor and pen and ink worked out very well in this piece.” –Art Teacher Ms. Lauren Richie

Artist Comment: “I tried stippling for the wood and some of the leaves. I chose to do the dog because I thought that it was cute and I wanted a challenge since I don’t draw dogs too often. My goal was to overall try to make the dog look cute and life-like. I think that this was one of my better artworks.” –Lillyann Tilman
