Senior Lilly Batman was crowned this year’s winner of the Harvest Festival Princess Pageant on Sept. 7 in the Milton High School Auditorium.

She added that she also won the Little Miss Princess Pageant in 2013.
“I did not have a choice on doing the pageant since I am related to my advisor (one of her dad’s cousins),” she said.
According to Lilly, on the day of the pageant, she played soccer early in the day the Milton high school which ended in a tie.
“It was a stressful and nerve-racking experience,” she said of the day. All she said she had to remember was to take deep breaths, she added.
“I thought it was a good idea to represent the Milton Alumni because I am a fourth-generation alumni myself. It was super easy to work with them as well,” she said. Senior Aubrie Hostetter was crowned this year’s runner up at the pageant.
“Lilly worked hard. She deserved to win; she was surprised and very humble about it,” Aubrey said.
Lilly said the biggest challenge during the pageant was remembering her speech. “To us, it wasn’t really a competition. It was all about going out on stage and having fun,” she added.
“The experience brought me closer to the girls, and it really helped with my public speaking. Answering questions on the spot was the hardest part, but the best was celebrating with the girls after,” Aubrey said.
Lilly said she plans to after she graduates to go into esthetician school and do two years of NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) to do Botox. “I think I love Botox because I’ve been around it forever with my family getting it, and I love anything beauty,” she said.
