Virtual Wednesdays coming to an end

March 17 will be the last planned Virtual Wednesday for Milton Area School District. Superintendent Dr. Cathy Keegan said that the weekly virtual days are ending due to the staff being vaccinated and research that indicates that deep cleaning days are not necessary.

“Evidence is clear that masking, social distancing and hand washing are the most effective mitigation strategies,” said Dr. Keegan in her March 11 email.

Co-Principal Mr. Andrew Rantz said this decision was made by the District Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. Virtual Wednesday could come back in the future if COVID-19 cases increased, he added.

“I would never say never to anything, but hopefully COVID-19 is moving permanently in our rearview mirror,” said Mr. Rantz.
