Senior Elizebeth Schrock has been known for her athletic accomplishments and exceptional skills while playing on the school’s Softball, Basketball and Track teams.
According to Liz, her first sport was Softball, then around third grade she started playing Basketball, and later in ninth grade she decided to join Track.
Liz said she is planning to attend Lafayette College in Easton to compete in Track and Field.
“I have put a lot of time and work to get where I am at. I do not wish I played another sport,” she added.
She added that she loves playing with her team and that they have so much energy and fun. “The atmosphere in basketball was great,” Liz said.
Liz has been awarded Defensive All Team in basketball for years in a row, along with the most valuable field player in track.
According to the Track and Field Long Jump Coach Ms. Lindsay Bauer, “Liz’s story and success is a true testament to her work ethic.” Liz truly showed her raw talent after her sophomore season, Coach Bauer added.
Liz started going to the weight room to help develop strength. She would run sprint workouts to develop speed and do plyometric exercises for explosiveness (jump training), said Coach Bauer.
“She had a breakout season last year, breaking the school record in the triple jump at districts,” said Coach Bauer. “It was so amazing to see all her hard work pay off at that moment,” she added.
“How lucky am I to have been just a small part of her journey,” said Coach Bauer.
